Huzhou — More Than a City
湖州位于浙江省北部，太湖南岸，是长三角城市群的重要成员。这里山水相依，人文荟萃，既有烟波浩渺的太湖风光，又有南浔、西塘等保存完好的江南古镇，更是中国丝绸文化的重要发源地之一。
Located in northern Zhejiang on the southern shore of Taihu Lake, Huzhou is a key city in the Yangtze River Delta. It blends misty lake scenery with well-preserved ancient water towns like Nanxun and Xitang, and stands as one of China's most important birthplaces of silk culture.
千年文脉
A Thousand Years of Culture
湖州建城已逾两千三百年，春秋时期即为吴越要地。唐代书法家颜真卿曾任湖州刺史，留下无数墨宝；宋代湖州是全国最重要的丝绸产地，湖丝名扬天下。近代以来，湖州孕育了众多文人墨客与实业先驱，南浔古镇的四象八牛更是近代中国民族资本的缩影。
Huzhou has been a city for over 2,300 years, serving as a strategic hub during the Spring and Autumn period. Tang Dynasty calligrapher Yan Zhenqing served here as governor. By the Song Dynasty, Huzhou silk — Hu Silk — was renowned across China. In modern times, the merchant families of Nanxun became symbols of China's early capitalist enterprise.
山水之间
Between Mountains and Water
湖州地处太湖平原与天目山余脉交汇之处，北临太湖，南依天目山，境内河网密布，湖泊星罗棋布。莫干山以竹海和民国别墅著称，顾渚山是唐代贡茶产地，西太湖则是候鸟迁徙的重要栖息地。
Huzhou sits where the Taihu Plain meets the foothills of Tianmu Mountain — Taihu Lake to the north, mountains to the south, and a dense network of rivers and lakes in between. Mogan Mountain is famous for bamboo and Republican-era villas; Guzhu Mountain for imperial tea; West Taihu for migratory birds.

贡茶故里
Imperial Tea
顾渚紫笋是唐代第一贡茶，产自湖州长兴顾渚山，每年春季茶园开放，是体验采茶文化的绝佳时机。
Guzhu Purple Shoot tea was the first imperial tribute tea of the Tang Dynasty, grown in Changxing. Spring tea-picking is a must-do experience.
湖笔之乡
Birthplace of Hu Brush
善琏湖笔与徽墨、端砚、宣纸并称文房四宝，湖州善琏镇是湖笔的发源地，制笔技艺已列入国家非物质文化遗产。
The Hu Brush from Shanglian Town is one of China's Four Treasures of the Study. The craft is a UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritage.
江南古镇
Ancient Water Towns
南浔、西塘、乌镇等古镇保存了完整的明清水乡风貌，青石板路、白墙黛瓦、小桥流水，是最纯粹的江南记忆。
Nanxun, Xitang, and Wuzhen preserve pristine Ming-Qing water town architecture — cobblestones, whitewashed walls, and canal bridges.

湖州站通达全国高铁网络，上海虹桥约40分钟，杭州约25分钟，南京约1小时。
Huzhou Station connects to the national HSR network — 40 min from Shanghai Hongqiao, 25 min from Hangzhou, 1 hr from Nanjing.
沪渝高速、申嘉湖高速等多条高速公路贯穿湖州，距上海约130km，距杭州约70km。
Multiple expressways connect Huzhou — approx. 130 km from Shanghai, 70 km from Hangzhou.
最近机场为杭州萧山国际机场（约70km）和上海虹桥/浦东国际机场（约130km）。
